Major League Baseball scout and general manager of the Kansas City Royals. He began his association with the Royals in 2006 and accepted a contract extension in 2009.
He first joined the world of professional baseball as a scout for the Atlanta Braves in 1994. In 2005, he became the team's Assistant General Manager.
He once interviewed for a managerial position with the Boston Red Sox.
He was born in Wichita, Kansas, but he spent a large portion of his childhood in Lakewood, New York.
