American middle blocker who is widely known for his career with the USA men's national volleyball team. He has led the team to a gold medal on numerous occasions, including at the 2008 Olympic Games and 2015 World Cup.
He graduated from Long Beach State University in 2004, where he was a first-team All-American blocker as a senior. He played in the then-longest national championship game in NCAA history, where he eventually lost in 5 games.
In 2014, he was named the FIVB Volleyball World League's best middle blocker. He helped the Greek team P.A.O.K. V.C. to a Greek Volleyball League championship in the 2015-2016 season.
He was born and raised in Alpine, California.
He played on the 2008 Olympic gold medal-winning team for the USA alongside Gabriel Gardner.
