Experimental poet and spoken-word performer who is best known for his philosophically-inspired "talk poems." His published works include Talking at the Boundaries, Tuning, and What It Means to Be Avant-Garde.
He attended New York University. He published his debut poetic work, Definitions, in 1967.
He performed his poetry in 2008 at a California literary festival called &NOW.
His wife, Eleanor Antin, also worked as an author and performance artist.
He wrote a poem entitled "Code of Flag Behavior" that was inspired by the work of William Carlos Williams.
