Former Ferguson Police Department officer who gained notoriety for shooting and killing Michael Brown. He was exonerated twice in regards to the shooting.
His first job as a law enforcement officer was with Jennings Police Department. Said department was shut down in 2011.
He was awarded a commendation from the Ferguson Police Department in February of 2013 after subduing a suspect who would be charged with a marijuana related crime.
His parents Tonya and John Wilson divorced when he was a toddler. He mother died of natural causes in 2002. He was married to Ashley Brown for about one year before divorcing. He would have a daughter with his second wife Barbara Spradling in March 2015.
