Curt Gowdy was a Hall of Fame radio and TV sports broadcaster born on July 31, 1919 in Green River, Wyoming. He was known for his work on the American Broadcasting Company's Major League Baseball Game of the Week, the National Football League's American Football League, and the National Basketball Association. He was also the play-by-play announcer for the Boston Red Sox from 1951 to 1966 and the New York Yankees from 1967 to 1969. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984.
