Cho Jung-Ho was born in Seoul, South Korea, South Korea, is Meritz Financial Group. Cho Jung-Ho, chairman of Meritz Financial Group, is the youngest of the four sons of Hanjin Group founder Cho Choong-Hoon, who started out with a single truck and went on to build an empire based mostly on transportation. After attending boarding schools in Massachusetts and California, Jung-Ho studied economics at the University of Southern California. He worked for several years for Korean Airlines in Europe before getting his M.B.A. from the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland. He returned home in 1989 as a director with Hanjin Investment & Securities, as Meritz was then named.
