Filipino Journalist and face for ABS-CBN News who gained international fame after she and her crew were abducted by Abu Sayyaf militants linked with al-Qaeda in 2008. A documentary was made covering her imprisonment, but never shown pending investigations.
She earned a bachelors degree in communications research from University of the Philippines Diliman. She then earned her first job as a news reporter in 1985 with Maharlika Broadcasting System.
She was named one of the top seven mothers in Working Mom Magazine.
Her full name is Cecilia Victoria Oreña-Drilon. She married Painter Rock Drilon and the pair had four children named Ory, Miko, Gian and Andre.
Like Anthony Taberna, she is a well known Filipino Journalist.
