Carl Bennet is a Swedish industrialist born in 1951 in Gothenberg, Sweden. He controls three companies on the Stockholm stock exchange, including Lifco and Elanders. His most valuable asset is Getinge, which he and fellow investor Rune Andersson acquired from Electrolux in 1989. Bennet has been vocal about his criticism of the Swedish government for not doing enough to decrease youth unemployment, and has proposed a German-style apprentice system as a solution.
