While playing Beth Raines on CBS's Guiding Light, Chamberlin was nominated for a Daytime Emmy and two Soap Opera Digest Awards. She appeared on the series from 1989 until 1991; briefly reprised her role in 1994; and then rejoined Guiding Light's cast from 1997 to 2009.
Before beginning her daytime television career, she trained at the American Ballet Theater and studied theater and dance at New York University.
