Anwar Ibrahim is a Malaysian politician who was born on August 10, 1947 in Cherok Tok Kun, Malaysia. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia from 1993 to 1998 and is currently the informal leader of the People's Justice Party (Keadilan). In 2008, he was elected as a Member of the Malaysian Parliament for Permatang Pauh.
