Anne Vernon was a French actress born in 1925. After graduating from the Paris Ecole des Beaux Arts, she began her career as a model and theatre actress before transitioning to film. She was known for her glamorous leading lady roles in post-war romantic comedies and farces, as well as her dramatic roles in films such as Shakedown (1950). She also appeared in British films such as Time Bomb (1953) and The Love Lottery (1954). In the 1960s, she began taking on more mature roles, most notably in Les parapluies de Cherbourg (1964). She also had a role in the controversial film Therese and Isabelle (1968). After some TV work in the early 1970s, Anne retired from acting.
