Colombian trombonist, music producer and singer who founded the award winning orchestra, Los Titanes, in 1982. He served as music director for Grupo Niche for 14 years, and has played trombone for bands like Adolfo Echeverría, Pacho Galán and Fruko y Sus Tesos.
He began studying at the University of Atlántico music conservatory when he was 14.
He was nominated for Best Salsa Album at the Latin Grammy Awards in 2017. It was his eighth Grammy award nomination.
His parents are Amelia Caraballo and renowned musician José Barros. His son, Luis Barros, was born in 1993.
He has collaborated with artists like Ricardo Arjona.
