He performed and recorded Othmar Schoeck, Arthur Honegger, Heinrich Sutermeister, and Walter Lang.
His father Carl Aeschbacher was a professor of piano at the Conservatoire.
He was also well-known for his interpretations of Ludwig van Beethoven's oeuvre.
